Response to New Measures for Certifying Disability
On 17 Jan 2025, our President issued a letter to the Transport Department of HKSAR Government specifying our concern on the recent decision of the Transport Department to review the application eligibility and approval criteria for the "Parking Certificates", in which, the updated measures has excluded the registered physiotherapists from being the authorized parties to certify an individual’s disability. Therefore, we urged the Transport Department to reconsider this decision and to include registered physiotherapists as qualified health care professionals who can issue medical certificates for assessing physical disabilities like before.
