Suggestion to Physiotherapists Board
Pertaining to the incident of the death of an acupuncture recipient who sought treatment from a non-registered practitioner, we, HKPU, have great concern regarding the protection of public interest in the selection and easy access for proper and safe healthcare service(s). Therefore, we have issued a letter to Physiotherapists Board (PTB) and suggested PTB to formulate “Protocol/Guideline for Pain Management” as an innovative support for the Hong Kong Government to take reference at Primary Healthcare Level so as to facilitate the access of general public to the proper healthcare service(s) such as, physiotherapy for pain management.
