The SFU-HKPU Ultrasound (USG) Skill Training Workshop 2026 concluded successfully on 5 Sep 2026. Co-organized by the HKPU and the Physiotherapy Integrated Clinical Education Centre (ICEC) at Saint Francis University, the event provided participants with an intensive day of advanced clinical training and hands-on practical learning.
Part 1: Lung Ultrasound
The morning session focused on the core principles of point-of-care lung ultrasonography. HKPU extends its sincere gratitude to Dr. Tiffany Choi for her expert guidance. Dr. Choi led participants through the identification of normal and pathological findings, demonstrating how to effectively integrate these advanced respiratory physiotherapy techniques into daily clinical practice.
Part 2: Musculoskeletal (MSK) Ultrasound (Shoulder & Knee)
The afternoon session transitioned to the fundamentals of Musculoskeletal Point-of-Care Ultrasound (MSK POCUS), led by Mr. Jimmy Yuen. Under his direction, participants engaged in extensive, small-group practical training, gaining hands-on experience in assessing the rotator cuff, biceps tendon, and patellar tendon.
