The objects of HKPU shall be as follows:
| (1) |
To secure the complete organisation in HKPU of all employees (all person employed as qualified Physiotherapist in Hong Kong) |
| (2) |
To promote and protect the professional status and safeguard the professional interests and rights of HKPU members. |
| (3) |
To
obtain and maintain just and reasonable rates of wages, hours of work
and other conditions of employment, and generally to protect the
interests of members. |
| (4) |
To
regulate relations and to settle disputes between members and
employers, between one member and another, and between members and ther
employees by amicable and conciliatory means. |
| (5) |
To
promote a spirit of mutual respect and understanding between HKPU and
the employer and to secure the establishment of recognised and
permanent machinery for negotiation with the employer. |
| (6) |
To be concerned with and to participate in the community affairs affecting the interests of the public and the members of HKPU. |
| (7) |
To promote legislation in the interests of the members and labour movement. |
| (8) |
To promote generally the material, cultural, social, educational and recreational welfare of the members. |
| (9) |
To
further the work or purpose of any lawful organisation whose objects
are to promote the interests of labour, trade unionism or trade
unionists. |
| (10) |
To
establish, carry on or participate in the business of printing or
publishing a general newspaper, journals, books, pamphlets or other
publications which may be thought desirable for the promotion of the
interests of HKPU and its members. |
| (11) |
To
organise educational activities and professional training concerning
industrial safety, labour law, sense of trade unionism for the
protection of the members. |
| (12) |
To do all such other lawful things as are incidental or conducive to the attainment of any or all of the above objects. |
